One soldier is said to have shared right-wing extremist content in a WhatsApp group. Now the man is suing his dismissal from the Bundeswehr.
The complaint of a Bundeswehr soldier will be heard at the administrative court in Hanover on Wednesday. The soldier was released without notice by the Federal Republic of Germany in January 2021, against which he is suing. According to an administrative court statement on Tuesday evening, he reportedly shared right-wing extremist and unconstitutional content in a WhatsApp group.
The soldier complained in April 2021. Among other things, he argued that the group’s events were not accessible to third parties and therefore could not have endangered the reputation of the Bundeswehr. He is committed to the basic order of free democracy and is socially engaged in many ways, it has also been said. For him, the chat group’s content was just black humor, the court said.
The soldier is said to have abused the trust
The motivation for the termination of the employment relationship reads: “The plaintiff has culpably violated his duty to serve faithfully, to defend the basic free democratic order, to obey and the duty of good conduct by sending right-wing and anti- constitutional content in the WhatsApp group have. ” Furthermore, she abused the trust placed in him and at the same time violated his official duties. This would endanger the military order.
In October 2020 the soldier’s office was informed that he was part of a WhatsApp group in which images, memes and videos with immoral, racist and pornographic content were shared. This was proved by a search on the soldier’s cell phone.
