Hit points necessary? (Gaming, gaming, gamer)

Hit points are supposed to represent health in video games.

We know this from shooter games, survival games and other games.

Some people would say that this is exactly “The Key” to making games like this and that is exactly what we want. But is it even necessary? What if you don’t need something like that? Just imagine Battlefield. A war game with a lot of realism.

Imagine if hit points didn’t exist and you died from blood loss or when body parts were lost. I know it’s very cruel and brutal but that’s just for the gamers.

Just imagine if you were hit in the leg, you would walk/run more slowly. You would also have to use a bandage to heal the wound before you died from blood loss. When you are close to death, your vision is also more grey.

Would you see such mechanics as good or bad? Then the cheaters would also be screwed, because people with aimbots would not only be afraid of being banned, but if they play at extreme, and by that I mean extreme sensitivity, the character would get a vomit animation. This means you can’t move very quickly because you’ll get dizzy and aiming will be much more difficult. So the character needs a break after a long period of movement.

Would you see such realism as good or bad?

If you’re wondering how the blood mechanics work, an average person has 5 to 6 liters of blood. Let’s say a sniper fires a bullet into someone’s chest. Because of the large caliber, I’d say that a very large wound is created. Let’s say the bullet grazed the side of his chest. He would lose a little blood from that, and because a large caliber was used, more blood would drain out. If 1 liter of blood is lost, there’s a high probability that you’ll faint and need a medic immediately. If you’re not treated, you’ll die from blood loss. So, what do you say?
