Hit in the back with local taxes. Municipalities began to raise local taxes and fees. Changes to the Ordinance on determining the amount of local taxes are included in the agenda of the meetings of a number of municipal councils.

The municipal councilors in Dobrich proved to be the fastest, having already accepted an increase in taxes on property and cars, as well as taxi transport licenses on the territory of the municipality, reports the financial portal pariteni.bg.

According to the Law on Local Taxes and Fees, the Municipal Council determines by ordinance the amount of local taxes under the conditions, according to the order and within the limits defined in the law. The proposal states that the real estate tax will be determined on the basis of 2.5 per thousand (2.5 per mille) on the tax assessment of the real estate. Until now, the tax rate was 1.3 per thousand (1.3 per thousand) on the tax assessment.


As an example, the difference between a property of 500 sq.m and a one-story dwelling with a built-up area of ​​100 sq.m is given, and for the first zone the owners will pay BGN 22.82 more, for the second zone – by BGN 13.73. , and for the third zone – with BGN 11.41. In the other zones, the difference is below BGN 10. The tax for cars is also increasing, but only for the most powerful ones. And in Kazanlak, starting next year, they will pay higher local taxes. They mainly affect owners of vehicles, vessels or aircraft. Everyone in the service industry, such as restaurateurs, hoteliers, taxi drivers, etc. The most serious increase in prices will be for the tourist tax and patent tax. Changes are proposed in the section on real estate, inheritance tax and acquisition of property by donation and consideration. It is envisaged that the real estate tax will be calculated at a rate of 2.5 per thousand (now it is 1.5 per thousand).

Higher building tax and property purchase tax envisage changes in the Ordinance on determining the amount of local taxes on the territory of the Municipality of Nova Zagora, which have been released for public discussion. Currently, the city’s residential property tax is 3.8 per thousand on the tax assessment, and non-residential property is 3 per thousand. It is proposed that the building tax for residential properties in the city increase to 4.5 per thousand on the tax assessment of the property, and for non-residential properties – 4 per thousand.

And in Haskovo there is a proposal to increase local taxes on real estate. It provides for the real estate tax rate for all taxable persons to increase from 2 per thousand to 2.5 per thousand on the tax assessment. A change is also proposed to the real estate acquisition tax. It should be increased from 2.6 to 3 per mille upon sale. When exchanging properties, the tax will be charged on the more expensive property.

There is also a change in taxes in Dupnitsa. A proposed increase from 2.50 per thousand to 3.50 per thousand on the real property tax assessment. This tax has not been touched in the last 5 years. The garbage fee will also be increased from 4.50 to 5.90 per mille from the tax assessment of properties in Dupnitsa. There will also be an increase in the patent tax and tax for taxi drivers.
