Fatima Sana, who took three wickets for 22 runs, and Sadia Iqbal, who took two wickets for 29 runs, destroyed New Zealand. Hannah Rowe (33 off 24 balls), Georgia Plimer (28 off 28 balls including a six and two fours) and Maddie Green (18) could not help New Zealand to victory. Heroine Sophia Devine (five), Bernadine Besunin (two) and Amelia Kerr (two) disappointed.
Muniba Ali (35 off 28 balls), Alia Riaz (unbeaten 32 off 22 balls including one six and three fours) and Bisma Maroof (21) saved the Pakistan team despite the batting collapse. Heroine Nida Dar (14), Shawal Zulfiqar (seven), Omaima Sohail (six) and Fatima Sana (four) all faded. Fran Jonas and Molly Penford took two wickets each for New Zealand. Alia Riaz is the star of the competition. Pakistan won the first match by seven wickets. Batting first, New Zealand scored 127 runs for six wickets. Batting back, Pakistan scored the winning run with 10 balls to spare. The last match of the series will be played on 9.
