Description

Know the great moments of Chinese history and its periodizations from the most remote times of prehistory and the so-called “mythological” ages until the unification of the first empire;

Know the works most representative of Chinese artistic and literary culture, such as works in bronze, jade and Book of odes, etc. ;

Familiarize yourself with the well-known stories and characters of the Chinese world, as well as the allegorical or symbolic allusions and meanings.

Targeted skills

Memorize and reconstruct the great periods of ancient China, retrace the course of its political history, identify its phenomena of continuities and ruptures on the socio-cultural level.

Decipher and mobilize a specific vocabulary and terminology referring to Chinese history; Memorize and restore the most representative works of Chinese art and literature.

Identify famous stories and characters from the Chinese world.
