History – Hamburg – Bertini Prize is awarded to projects against forgetting – knowledge

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – The Bertini Prize will be awarded on Sunday (12 p.m.) in the Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg. A total of 73 young people will be honored who, as part of four projects, have searched for traces of past injustice and have stood up for equal coexistence. The name of the prize goes back to the novel “Die Bertinis”, in which the Hamburg writer Ralph Giordano (1923-2014) describes the fate of his family during persecution during the Nazi dictatorship. It is intended to promote projects that do remembrance work and recognize young people who are committed to fighting injustice.
