Kick off the festivities! From this Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 September 2021, Renaissance celebrations are organized at Souchez, near Lens (Pas-de-Calais). In the program, story, camp, parade of old cars and music under the Artois sun.
Each year, the Renaissance contributes “to popularize the duty of memory in our agglomeration. They represent a festive moment near major Canadian and French national sites, more conducive to contemplation and remembrance ”, detail the organizers.
Every year, many families come to the site adjacent to the D937. Obviously, history, music and automobile enthusiasts are also present.
A rich program
For 4 days, many events will follow one another, including military music training, walks and tourist visits organized on the territory of the Lens-Liévin agglomeration on Saturdays, and the famous Victory Parade with brass bands and old vehicles. Sunday morning in Souchez.
Following this parade, a static presentation will be made near the 14-18 Memorial and Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. Note that it will be possible to eat on site. Attention, wearing a mask is mandatory!
