Kallimarmaro will host the 6th “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament, with basketball returning to the historic stadium after four decades. The organizer of the tournament, Panathinaikos, Partizan, Anadolu Efes and Maccabi will participate in the tournament in memory of Pavlos Giannakopoulos.

The curtain opens at 19:00 with the match between Maccabi and Anatolou Efes, while at 22:00 Panathinaikos will face Zeliko Obradovic’s Partizan. The European champions will compete in front of nearly 40,000 sold-out fans for the historic night of basketball under the Athenian sky.
The presence of this number of fans in the stands is expected to be a pan-European record.
The matches will be televised by ERT 3.
Three absent for the greens
Matias Lessor and Lorenzo Braun will not compete in this year’s tournament due to injury problems. Panagiotis Kalaitzakis is also absent for Ergin Ataman’s team.
Absences are also counted by the Serbs. Zeljko Obradovic will be without: Isaiah Mike, Vanja Marinkovic, Aleksa Dimitrijevic, Mitar Bosniakovic and Arian Lakic at his disposal.
