RICHMOND (USA) – A collaboration between Friuli Venezia Giulia and the state of Virginia regarding some sectors such as agriculture, industry, commerce, tourism: the president of Fvg Massimiliano Fedriga talks about it in signing the agreement between the Region and the Commonwealth of Virginia for an international collaboration, which took place today in Richmond by Fedriga himself and the governor of the American state Glenn Youngkin. For Fedriga this is a “significant step forward for strengthening relations between our region, its productive fabric and the United States of America. An additional opportunity for our companies interested in internationalization and the conquest of new market spaces or the identification of new commercial partners, but also a great opportunity to attract new investments in our territory”.
The agreement
Fedriga explained that the agreement, of “historic” importance, has a duration of five years, with automatic renewal, and “provides, for the agricultural sector, a mapping of the stakeholders and companies, American and regional, interested, the organization of seminars and webinars to illustrate each other’s specializations and exchange experiences and best practices to improve the prospects of agricultural producers in value-added sectors”.
“With regards to industry and commerce – added Fedriga -, in addition to the identification of stakeholders and the organization of seminars, mutual collaboration will be implemented both between companies and institutions to share business development opportunities Activities that will be followed directly by the Select Friuli Venezia Giulia Agency, which is entrusted with the task of attracting investments in the area and providing support to businesses”. Regarding tourism, however, an exchange of good practices on tourism promotion, information on various events and initiatives as well as the promotion of the respective territories is envisaged.
