Bulgaria should not make concessions to Northern Macedonia, because there is nothing to do. If we make concessions, it means agreeing with the hate speech that floods us every day. This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by the historian Hristo Matanov. According to him, “the Bulgarian Prime Minister is too optimistic”.
“I do not expect a sensational development, especially since those who put pressure on us do not put the same pressure on the government of Northern Macedonia. This creates the feeling that the pressure is uneven.”
“The pressure is coming from the EU and the United States they made the wrong geopolitical forecastthat the non-accession of Northern Macedonia will strengthen the Russian influence there “, commented Prof. Matanov.
