TEXAS – The mother of a 13-month-old girl, who died on Friday She was arrested and charged in connection with the child’s death, her boyfriend is also facing charges in the case, according to the authorities.
The victim was identified as Fernanda Morales. The little girl was taken to the emergency room of a Houston hospital located in western Harris County on Thursday night, according to police.
When reviewed, the victim showed severe signs of head trauma that were not consistent with the version that the couple gave to the authorities.. The mother and boyfriend said that the girl had fallen from a chair and hit her head, but her injuries showed to be more severe to the extent that the little girl died shortly after her injuries in the hospital.

The girl’s mother, Mercy Morales, 22, and her boyfriend Victor Almanza, 18, are in jail on charges of injuring a minor. Morales was posted $ 1,000,000 bond. Almanza’s bond has not been released.
