Saltillo, Coah.- The state representative for District 74, Heriberto “Eddie” Morales, filed before the House of Representatives in Austin, Texas, an application to the Department of Health Services to implement restrictive measures to prevent Coahuilans from going to Texas cities and applying the Covid-19 vaccine.
The attorney for Eagle Pass, Texas, who has jurisdiction over nine counties, from Austin to Alpine, said it submitted this proposal because more and more Coahuila who have Mexican and American nationality travel to localities in the state of Texas to be inoculated against the new coronavirus.
“I have had voters contact me and bring to my attention that foreign citizens are registering and getting vaccinations in border communities and elsewhere in Texas. We are pushing every day to increase vaccine allocations, but we are still a long way from having all of our residents vaccinated.
“I have asked the Texas Department of Health Services (DSHS) to implement a policy that puts US citizens and legal residents first in line in the administration of vaccines, “adds the document prepared by Eddie Morales.
