Robert Johnson was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting in which Byron Morales died, outside the “Dream Hotel” in Manhattan, the NYPD reported Monday.

Sources said Morales, 25, of Brooklyn, was member of the street gang “Outlaws”. The shooting happened around 12:20 a.m. Thursday and was sparked by a dispute of unknown motive between Morales and Johnson, which appears to have been gang related, the NYPD said.

Johnson, 26, and other men fled in a jeep, but he was arrested on Saturday in North Babylon, Long Island by the NYPD Regional Fugitive Task Force and the NYPD Police Department. Suffolk County, and later charged with murder, assault and criminal possession of a firearm, reported New York Post.

Morales and his unidentified twin brother were in the area, apparently for dinner at the posh “Tao Downtown” restaurant, witnesses reported at the time.
