I always wonder what the added value of a 4.1.2 speaker system is. People who really care I assume (perhaps a wrong assumption) will go quicker for a real home cinema system and hook up an amplifier + accompanying speakers + dedicated subwoofer, or at least a soundbar with the same channels and dedicated subwoofer. And those who don’t want it aren’t even those who would like it 4.1.2. speaker system is aimed at I think?
I myself have an LG OLED CX with so-called Dolby Atmos sound. But it’s a TV that’s only slightly thicker than the average laptop (at the thickest part), obviously not giving off a decent sound (subjectively) to my ears.
In terms of audio, I myself have a Denon AVR X2700H with Q acoustics 7.1 home cinema (without Atmos), and then my girlfriend coldly says that she doesn’t really care to watch me or her on her LG OLED C2, so then also a tv with 4.1.2 it is not interesting.
Lots of guesses. Maybe there are people with a different opinion, I’d like to hear that
