His studies at Pamekasan Disbanded by Citizens, Ustaz Hanan Attaki Speaks Out

Studies Master Hanan Attaki at the Al-Muttaqien Mosque, Laden Village, Pamekasan District, Madura, Banser Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) was disbanded along with residents. Ustaz Hanan Attaki opened his voice about the disbandment of his study.

Reported detikJatim, Saturday (18/2/2023), from the information gathered, the recitation on Sunday (12/2) was visited by residents and uniformed banser who refused to have the recitation. Masses numbering in the hundreds filled the courtyard and streets in front of the mosque.

Under the pouring rain, the masses asked for the recitation to be stopped. They gave speeches through the loudspeakers via the command car. The mass action was protected by the police. After discussions, it was finally agreed that the study would not be continued.

Hanan provided clarification regarding the refusal and the reasons for it in a video on Hanan Attaki’s YouTube Channel which was uploaded on Thursday (16/2). In his opening, Hanan mentioned the viral news regarding the rejection of his lecture in Pamekasan. He did not mention exactly when the rejection occurred, but only mentioned that there were a number of groups of people who staged demonstrations against him.

“I would like to take this opportunity to provide a number of explanations regarding the news that is currently viral on social media and several other printed media. The news in this language is the rejection of Ustaz Hanan Attaki’s recitation in Madura, in Pamekasan,” said Hanan as seen by detikJatim, Friday (17/17) 2).

“And the accusations made at the demonstration by several groups of people at that time. The first is that Hanan Attaki is a Wahhabi, the second is that he is supported by the Jews and the third is that Ustan Hanan insulted the Prophet Musa and Sayyidah Aisyah,” he added.
