ODESSA, KOMPAS.com – A starving 3 year old boy was found chewing on a bag Plastic alone in a locked apartment.
The boy named Volodya was locked alone by his mother, Natalia, who drunk drinking of Odessa, Ukraine south, for 3 days.
The boy was found on Thursday (3/9/2020) in a state of hunger and it was difficult to get water until it leaked into the room below.

According to one neighbor, the rescue team found him naked and alone, chewing on a plastic bag sprinkled with sugar.
Mirror on Tuesday (8/9/2020) reported that the police also did not find food in the apartment.
One woman whose apartment had water damage told local media, “I saw water running down my wall and ran upstairs trying to find Natalia.”

“When I found out Volodya was home alone, I called emergency services.”
Rescuers then made a hole in the front door which was made of metal, so they could enter the apartment and rescue him.
Volodya, who was limp, was immediately taken to the hospital and doctors diagnosed him with malnutrition.
Social services say housing conditions are so bad that they have the potential to endanger lives.

Yulia Nikandrova head of the Child Protection Service commented, “The child is living in terrible unsanitary conditions.”
“The apartment has cockroaches and is contaminated with dust and dirt.”
“There is no food in the apartment. The little boy is neglected and (his body) is covered in bruises.”
Volodya’s mother returned home the next day after social services intervened.

He was interrogated by police and charged with failing to carry out his parenting duties.
Meanwhile neighbors reported that she often left her child unattended and went out drinking with friends.
Report cited Mirror explained, Volodya will be placed in an orphanage after leaving the hospital, because child protection officials want to sue Volodya’s mother and withdraw her custody.
