Today, Saturday, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad called on the international community to do its part regarding what is happening in Gaza
This came during his representation of His Highness the Emir at the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit held in the city of Riyadh.
His Highness said: I extend my thanks to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its dear people for the kind invitation to this important and exceptional meeting to discuss the tragic circumstances that the brothers in occupied Palestine are going through as a result of the violations of the Israeli occupation.
His Highness stressed that the first steps to achieving peace are to solve the Palestinian issue in a just, comprehensive and final solution in accordance with international resolutions and references and the Arab Peace Initiative.
His Highness said: The Palestinian issue will remain at the top of the list of Kuwait’s foreign policy priorities, and Kuwait will maintain its firm and principled position in support of the right of the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
His Highness pointed out that the Palestinian brothers in Gaza are subjected to unspeakable crimes at the hands of the Israeli occupation authorities, in a way that confirms their practice of collective punishment, and in a scene that reveals double standards and contradicts international humanitarian law.
The Emir’s representative pointed out that Kuwait has repeatedly emphasized that this tragedy is the result of the international community’s failure to find a just, comprehensive, and final solution to this issue.
