His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, concluded yesterday a four-day official visit to Malaysia. At the farewell of His Highness, Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayat Al-Din Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, King of Malaysia, and Prince Hassanal Ibrahim Alim Shah, Regent of the Malaysian state of Pahang. During the visit, His Highness met Sultan Abdullah Ra’ayat al-Din al-Mustafa Billah Shah in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, where they exchanged cordial conversations that reflect the depth of the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the two friendly peoples. And Malaysia, as His Highness and Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, discussed friendship and cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve common interests. The meeting with the Malaysian Prime Minister witnessed the approval of the launch of two academic chairs for scientific research in institutions of higher education in Kuala Lumpur: the first in the name of Sheikh Zayed at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies in Malaysia, with the aim of promoting studies and academic research in the regions of West Asia and Southeast Asia, and the second in the name of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak at the Malaysian National Defense University in order to support efforts to empower women and girls in the field of peace and security and support peacekeeping missions at the United Nations. During the visit, a joint declaration of intent was signed to launch talks to reach a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Malaysia, in addition to discussing ways to enhance cooperation in the field of energy, especially clean energy, and climate action.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed visited the “Langkawi International Aeronautics and Space Exhibition”, accompanied by Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Prince Hassanal Ibrahim Alim Shah.
His Highness, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, during an inspection tour of the exhibition as part of his official visit to Malaysia, was briefed on the pavilions of a number of participating Malaysian navigation and space technology companies, in addition to the pavilion of the Emirati Edge Group, and watched a group of air shows, including a show by the Emirates Knights Aerobatic Team.
During His Highness’s visit to the exhibition, Caracal, one of the companies of the Edge Group, signed an agreement with the Malaysian company, Ketech Asia, to enhance cooperation and develop partnership horizons between them.
During the inspection tour of the exhibition, His Highness was accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, the Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Muhammad bin Ahmed Al Bawardi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, and the Head of the Municipalities and Transport Department – Abu Dhabi, Muhammad Ali Al Shurafa. And the head of the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, and the country’s ambassador to Malaysia, Khaled Ghanem Al Ghaith.
