His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was crowned the winner of the main round of the President’s Cup race for purebred Arabian horses, which included 7 rounds, in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, during the eighth ceremony at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club track, which was held yesterday evening. The horse “RB King Maker” of the National Stables, under the supervision of Hilal Al Alawi and led by Richard Mullen, won the title in the seventh and final heat, over a distance of 2,200 metres, with prizes amounting to 4.5 million dirhams.

The horse “Nebras Passion”, owned by Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, under the supervision of Ismail Mohammed and driven by Patrick Dobbs, won the President’s Cup for hybrid horses in the sixth round for a distance of 1,400 meters, with prizes of 380 thousand dirhams. “Singasong Al-Muri” by Abdullah Mohammed bin Touq, under the supervision of Ibrahim Al-Hadrami and led by Connor Beasley, won the first half prize for a distance of 1,600 metres, with the title of “Mahatta Museum”, with prizes amounting to 80 thousand dirhams.

“Miqat” by Ali Khalfan Al Shawi, under the supervision of Ahmed Al Muhairbi, and led by Sandro Paiva, won the “Al Wathba Stallions” race prize reserved for owners of private stables in the second half for a distance of 1600, with prizes amounting to 70 thousand dirhams. The prize for the third round went to the filly “Diya” of Liwa Stables, supervised by Mohammed Daggash, and driven by Sandro Paiva “Double”, for the Triple Crown title (first round), with prizes of 230 thousand dirhams.

The mare “Unlimited” from Al-Reef Stables, under the supervision of Dr. Jaber Bitar, and driven by Charlie Bennett, won the fourth race prize for a distance of 2200 metres, for the title “Qalaat Dhayah”, whose prizes are 80 thousand dirhams. The first candidate, “Hirose de Lagarde” by Sheikh Nasser bin Mohammed Al Hashar, under the supervision of Ibrahim Al Hadhrami and led by Connor Beasley, won the title of “Liwa Oasis” for the second category, which was held in the fifth heat for a distance of 1,400 meters, and its prizes amounted to 300 thousand dirhams.
