Goal Cristiano Ronaldo in the final minutes of the match Serbia vs Portugal not passed by the referee. This made CR7 go crazy, slamming his captain’s armband.
Laga European zone 2022 World Cup qualification from Group A brought together Serbia vs Portugal at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, Sunday (28/3/2021) in the morning WIB. The two teams fought tightly on the field.
Portugal had the lead in the 11th minute through goals Diogo Jota. Then, striker Liverpool it doubled the lead in the 36th minute, which put Portugal 2-0 up at the break.
In the second half, Serbia was able to reply to two goals for the visitors. Goals from Aleksandr Mitrovic and Filip Kostic made it 2-2.
During injury time, to be precise the 90 + 3 minutes, Portugal cheered when Ronaldo was able to score a goal. His kick from inside the penalty box, is seen directing the ball into the goal.
However, the ball was cleared by Mitrovic. The ball vomited again by Bernardo Silva, and it was again countered by Mitrovic.
In the replay, it was seen that Ronaldo’s kick ball had apparently crossed the goal line, with a considerable distance. However, referee Danny Makkelie did not endorse it.
Ronaldo, who was already celebrating, immediately got angry. Then, the Juventus striker was instead yellow carded for excessive protests.
Ronaldo is apparently still angry before the game is over. He instead leaves the field and looks to be the owner of 5 Ballon d’Or it slammed his captain’s armband just before entering the stadium hallway. The match then ends, Serbia vs Portugal complete 2-2.
The draw itself made Portugal still in second place in Group A European zone 2022 World Cup qualification with 4 points, under Serbia because of losing goal productivity. Furthermore, Portugal will face Luxembourg on 31 March.
