The Hockey Club Lugano announces that it has signed a contract valid until the end of the 2024/25 season with the “right” Canadian defender Justin Schultz.
Born in Kelowna (British Columbia) on 07.06.1990, Schultz (188 cm. with the colors of the University of Wisconsin (121 games, 113 points).
From 2012 to 2024 Schultz then played twelve championships continuously in the NHL for a total of 826 games with an offensive tally of 365 points (81 goals, 284 assists).
Schultz has worn several prestigious jerseys in his career: Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, with whom he won two consecutive Stanley Cups in 2016 and 2017) and Washington Capitals.
In the last two seasons he wore the Seattle Kraken jersey with which he collected 157 appearances and 70 points.
Schultz will arrive in Ticino as soon as the work permit process has been completed.
