His Excellency Counselor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, confirmed that the Riyadh Season Cup is important and no different from the official cups, especially since it represents value to the Kingdom’s capital.
Al-Sheikh said while speaking to MBC Action: “The support I received from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince is the reason for the recent achievement, pointing out that the Kingdom will become a world record in combat sports and aspects of sports in general.”
He added: “We will have an important meeting shortly regarding television broadcasting, and there is a new surprise in the Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr match, explaining that many parties have requested that the match be broadcast and the match will be broadcast on more than 100 Arab, regional and international channels.”
When asked about the circulated clip of him with Jesus and Ronaldo during the match between Al-Nasr and Inter Miami, he replied: “Jesus told me that Al-Hilal will win by three goals, and Ronaldo replied, ‘This will happen on PlayStation.’”
His Excellency the Advisor also explained with the journalist Turki Al-Ajma on his program “Kora” that the demand for tickets for the match reached 2.7 million, adding that a ticket was sold for 70 thousand riyals.
It is noteworthy that Al-Hilal will face its counterpart Al-Nasr, on Thursday evening, at the Kingdom Arena, in the final of the Riyadh Season Cup.
