The announcement of his death had moved the whole world, and in particular the fans of the saga Harry Potter. Actor Robbie Coltrane, who played the unforgettable and charismatic character of Hagrid in the franchise dedicated to the famous magician, died at the age of 72 on October 14. A painful mourning for the many Muggle or wizarding spectators, but also for his family.
The Scottish comedian, who was also known for playing the role of Valentin Zukovsky in the franchise James Bond, left behind two children, Alice and Spencer. They are the ones who were responsible for respecting the wishes of their father, and it is now done. Indeed, in accordance with what Robbie Coltrane wanted, the two children of the Scottish actor scattered his ashes in his favorite places in Manhattan.
Robbie Coltrane, born in 1950, arrived in New York in the 1970s when he was still a “illegal immigrant“, in his own words. It was then that his love for the Big Apple was born. Alice and Spencer were therefore in Washington Square Park, near New York University, at the Film Forum in Greenwich Village, place famous for independent cinema and finally at Katz’s Delicatessen, a restaurant particularly famous for its pastrami sandwiches.
