Hillary wins, Sanders doesn’t lose, Trump’s nomination still not guaranteed –

/ world today news/ After yesterday’s important stage of the primary elections in the Republican and Democratic parties of the USA, the picture becomes clearer, but only at first glance.

secured the nomination. The chances of her main opponent, Bernie Sanders, catching her in the number of delegates by the end of the primaries are mostly theoretical. But that doesn’t mean Sanders lost!

As I wrote a few weeks ago in the media, the big challenge for his main message – against inequality and poverty – is in the deep-seated attitudes of a large part of American society, which, unlike the European value matrix, does not see the state as a means of solving problems with the social status of the individual. The causes of poverty, according to the majority of Americans, are at the individual level (lack of sufficient diligence, entrepreneurship, etc.), and not in the politics of the state. So, with what he has achieved so far, Sanders is truly revolutionizing – he has turned his message and vision of a social America into a national political factor. It has achieved much more than expected – and it is a significant political and campaign result that could influence attitudes towards the next presidential election in 2020. Will Bernie Sanders be positioned to play a decisive role in it from now on It’s hard to say, but I hope it happens.

As for the Republicans. There, Donald Trump not only increased his number of delegates and came closer to the cherished nomination, but also strengthened his psychological advantage over the other candidates. With this, the resistance of the party’s top brass, which erupted in an anti-Trump campaign a few weeks ago and then relented or reconsidered its positions, has been largely overcome.

But! There’s still one big but in the way of Trump’s nomination. He needs many more wins in the remaining states to reach the coveted 1,237 delegates that guarantee the nomination. The multitude of candidates (four yesterday, and after the withdrawal of Rubio, who was decisively defeated in his home state of Florida by Trump, three remain in the field) are squandering the votes. One possible scenario is to go to the Republican convention without a clear winner. How the delegates and the party leadership will regroup in such a situation at this stage is a matter of increased difficulty. But Trump’s chances of securing the nomination even before the convention are very real. So, most likely, the battle will be until the last second.
