Hildesheim/Hamburg. Hildesheim and the region are an attractive holiday destination – you can convince yourself of this from February 8th to 12th at the “REISEN Hamburg” tourism fair. Hildesheim Marketing, the Hildesheim Cathedral Museum and the Derneburg Castle Art Museum advertise under the motto “Discover Hildesheim and the region”.as well as the Van der Valk Hotel in the network for Hildesheim as a varied travel destination. Interested visitors will find the “ambassadors” in hall B7 at stand 331.
REISEN Hamburg is part of FreizeitWelten, one of the most important and largest holiday fairs in Northern Germany. A total of seven individual trade fairs offer end consumers a variety of tourism, caravanning, bicycles, cruises, holiday photography and enjoyment. As this year’s partner country, Mongolia will be represented with its own area.
The aim of the joint trade fair appearance is to get guests from northern Germany excited about the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Cathedral and St. Michael’s Church and the Derneburg Castle Art Museum in Holle and for exhibitions by the Cathedral Museum over the five days of the trade fair. In addition, the advertising drum for sights and tourist offers for holiday activities in the region will be beaten. The tourist package is supplemented by the Van der Valk Hotel with hotel packages for individuals, groups and families. In addition, a discount campaign by all partners involved is intended to arouse interest in Hildesheim as a travel destination among visitors to the stand in the Hanseatic city. In addition to numerous brochures and information material, the representatives of the cooperation partners are of course available to advise all travel fans on site.

Hundreds of exhibitors from all over the world will present themselves in two halls from February 8th to 12th. In 2020, the fair attracted around 77,000 visitors, mostly from north-west Germany. This achieves theTRAVEL Hamburg“ also the target group of the Hildesheim region. The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. With the ticket, visitors can also visit the affiliated “CARAVANING Hamburg” for everything to do with caravans, mobile homes and the like in Halls A1 to 3.
