Hilarious ‘Borat’ Sketch, Slime Shower for Scarlett Johansson and ‘WandaVision’ Big Winner: These Were the MTV Movie Awards | Movie

FILMLast night the MTV Movie Awards took place. The popular Disney + series ‘WandaVision’ took home no less than four awards. The most striking moment of the evening was undoubtedly when actor Sacha Baron Cohen once again played the role of Borat, Ali G and Brüno. But Scarlett Johansson’s speech will also remain with fans, as she was given a green slime shower.

The Marvel series ‘WandaVision’ was nominated no less than five times and could win four awards. The series won the coveted prize for best show, beating ‘Bridgerton’, ‘Cobra Kai’, ‘Emily in Paris’ and ‘The Boys’ among others. Lead actress Elizabeth Olsen (32) took home the award for best performance in a show. The actress thanked her Marvel fans when she received her golden popcorn figurine. “You’re just the biggest fans anyone can have and I’ve loved playing this role for seven years,” she said.

Olsen’s co-star Kathryn Hahn (47) won the award for best villain. Hahn said that this role is made for her. “When I was in high school, I played in the ‘Wizard of Oz’. I really wanted to be Dorothy because then I could wear red slippers, but deep down I realized that the role of the wicked witch was all my cup of tea. ” The two actresses also won the award for the best fight together. “This is so ironic, because I actually love ‘Lizzie’ a lot,” said Hahn. “Actually, we should have won the award for the best kiss,” Olsen laughed.

Borat, Ali G and Brüno fight for the comedy prize

Sacha Baron Cohen (49) caused a lot of hilarity when receiving the Comedic Genius Award. The award honors an actor who has made a tremendous contribution to the world of comedy. Instead of a simple thank-you speech, the actor brought Borat, Ali G and Brüno back to life through a video.

Cohen first transformed into his iconic Borat character to receive the award. Thank you Prince Harry. I am very excited to be on this brand new music television channel. I am very happy to receive this cup with gold teeth ”, he joked as Borat. Borat was soon interrupted by Cohen’s satirical character Ali G. “I should get this award, not you. I was the original gangster, ”says Ali G.

While Ali G. and Borat discuss the winner of the award, the real Cohen intervenes to interrupt the men and receive the award himself. But Cohen’s serious speech is cut short by Austrian fashion guru Brüno, from the 2009 film of the same name, on which the real Cohen shouts “Jesus”. “No, actually I am not Jesus, even though I have been nailed to a cross a few times. And by the way, I have a lot more followers than Jesus in Asia, ”says Brüno.

Slime shower in the wrong show

The most peculiar moment at the MTV Movie Awards was undoubtedly the speech of Scarlett Johansson (36). The actress received the Generation Award and thanked her fans in a video speech. Her husband, Colin Jost, surprised the actress shortly after her speech by pouring a bowl of green slime over her. “What the fuckJohanson exclaimed, to which Colin said, “MTV, you’re glued.” The actress and many viewers were amazed, because throwing slime over someone is the tradition of another award show: the Kids’ Choice Awards from youth channel Nickelodeon.

Showy outfits on the red carpet

Due to the corona crisis, it was a long time ago for many stars that they could stand on a red carpet again. The fact that some had already forgotten the choice of an extravagant, yet elegant outfit, could not hide a few stars.
