A truck lost a load of offal on the A67 near Geldrop, in the direction of Eindhoven. About ten tons of waste is spread over the roadway. The road is closed. Rijkswaterstaat expects the clean-up to last well after the evening rush hour.
It went wrong around a quarter to five. A truck filled with offal lost its entire load. It’s about ten tons. The stench could be smelled well in the area.
It is not clear exactly how this could happen. According to Rijkswaterstaat, the road will have to be ‘considerably cleaned’ before traffic can pass it again. The asphalt may also need to be repaired.
The road is closed between Asten and the Leenderheide interchange. Traffic towards Eindhoven will be diverted via the A73 and A2.
