Takuro Shimohara, a teacher at Meiokan High School, took second place in the Clean & Jerk and Total weight lifting competition for men in the 96 kg weightlifting competition held in Satsumasendai City.
At the adult men’s equestrian event held in Kirishima City, Tsukasa Uemura won runner-up in the national eventing event.
Kana Tanaka, a teacher at Kanoya Special Needs School, placed 3rd in the final of the 1500m Wild Water Kayak Single for Adult Girls held in Yusui Town.
Ryunosuke Toge of Shigakukan High School took 3rd place in the scratch final of the boys’ bicycle competition held in Minamiosumi Town.
