The first musical guest at DWW Radio is K3. Early in the morning, and in the biting winter cold, they tell Peter and Fien that they are coming to auction a signed rainbow dress for the benefit of De Warmste Week. And that has lured a mass of children to the DWW Radio studio in Mechelen. “It is size 134”, according to Peter Van de Veire.
“Being able to be who you are”: how important is that within K3? “We always have each other to do our thing, and that’s great fun,” says Hanne Verbruggen. “Yes, we often wear identical outfits, and they are not always beautiful, but that does not matter, because you just do it with three,” says Marthe De Pillecyn. “It’s great to hear that people are attracted to our numbers, because that’s why we do this of course,” says brand new K3’tje Julia Boschman.
