Residents of the Northern Hemisphere, Thursday, June 10, can watch a A solar eclipse that cuts a path of about 500 kilometers Current from Canada to Siberia, passing through Europe, where it is very partial.
The biggest spectacles are aimed at some of the residents of the highest latitudes, which are right on the axis: northwestern Canada, far north of Russia, northwestern Greenland and the Arctic, where the occultation of the solar disk is close to 90%.
This is the first one ring eclipse 2021 and the sixteenth of the twenty -first centurye century. This astronomical phenomenon occurs during the new moon period, when the Earth, Moon and Sun are fully aligned.
The annular eclipse is also visible, but only partially, in northwestern North America, and mostly over much of Europe, including France and Great Britain.
If the apparent diameter of the moon is smaller than the diameter of the sun, part of the crown of fire remains visible. A total eclipse, which briefly submerges a part of the planet in darkness, occurs when the moon’s diameter is exactly the same as the diameter of the sun as seen from Earth. This rare phenomenon can be observed mainly from France in August 1999.
