Princess Beatrix’s income is also higher. Next year she will receive 564,000 euros, also tax-free. That is 27,000 more than now. In addition, 1,087,000 euros will be allocated for personnel and material costs, also 27,000 more than this year.
These figures are included in the King’s budget, which is included in the Million Memorandum. In addition, there are costs for the royal family that are included in the budget of other ministries, such as state visits (Foreign Affairs), maintenance of palaces (Internal Affairs) and the maintenance of Princess Beatrix’s ship De Groene Draeck (Defense).
Also more money to Amalia
Crown Princess Amalia’s future income will also be higher than previously assumed. From her 18th birthday, she is entitled to 296,000 euros in income per year and 1,338,000 euros in personnel and material expenses.
Amalia will turn 18 on December 7, 2021 and will be entitled to 20,000 euros in income and 91,000 euros for the other costs for the remaining days of the calendar year 2021.
More flying, but also more sustainability
The Royal House may incur more costs for air travel next year. The budget will increase by 50,000 euros to 860,000 euros for the use of the government aircraft, civil aircraft and helicopters.
With regard to Huis ten Bosch, the options for installing solar panels on or around the palace are being investigated. In addition, sustainable measures are generally taken where possible. This week there should be more clarity about this.
It is also being investigated whether the Kroondomein Het Loo can be open to the public throughout the year. This is discussed when submitting a new subsidy. The current subsidy period for the area will end soon.
