Higher Production Costs for iPhone 15 could Impact Prices of iPhone 16

Nikkei Asia reportsthat the production costs of the iPhone 15 are noticeably higher than last year’s iPhone 14, which could affect the prices of the iPhone 16.

Standard components of the iPhone 15 cost $423, which is 16% more than the iPhone 14. The iPhone 15 Plus costs the company $442, which is 10% more than its predecessor.

Despite the increased costs, Apple did not increase retail prices on any iPhones this year and has decided to absorb the impact of the increased costs. The only notable change was the discontinuation of the 128GB Pro Max model.
