Higher Education Law No. 24,521: New Evaluation Procedure for Access to Universities for People Over 25 without Completed Secondary Studies

The Higher Education Law No. 24,521, in its Article 7, establishes that exceptionally people over 25 years of age who have not completed their secondary studies may enter Universities as long as they demonstrate through evaluations that they have “preparation or work experience in accordance with with the studies they intend to begin, as well as sufficient skills and knowledge to complete them satisfactorily.”

In order to guarantee this right, it is up to the Career Council of the Transdepartmental Area of Teacher Training to establish the mechanisms of said evaluation, in order to expand the possibilities of access to university training.

To this end, an evaluation procedure was approved for people who find themselves in this situation and who wish to enter one of the Arts Teaching careers taught in the Area. This procedure was established by the Resolution CC ATFD N°84-2023 (download).

Passing this evaluation does not imply in any case the recognition or completion of secondary level studies.
