High tribune: one wanted to be from Blake’s seven, another shared “When the pants stop washing, the masks will stop the virus” (Overview)

Prof. Andrey Chorbanov dreamed of becoming a part of Blake’s Seven. He shared the fact in the otherwise serious debate on the introduction of the green certificate for the buildings of the National Assembly. For 6 hours the elected representatives debated on the topic and finally, a month after the start of the 47th National Assembly, they finally introduced the requirement valid for citizens – in public places you enter only with a vaccine, current negative test or antibody document.

But the statement by the ITN professor, known for his disapproval of anti-epidemic measures, was innocent amid a revelation by his BSP colleague Yavor Bojankov that “when the pants stop the day”, then the masks will stop the virus.

The truth is that the lawyer from Tarnovo did not use this expression in the courtroom. But since he shared it on his Facebook account some time ago, this was quoted by his colleagues.

Otherwise, Bozhankov was categorical from the rostrum in favor of the introduction of the certificate: We defend common sense!

“I thought it was Christmas

we celebrate the birth of Christ, but clearly you are reborn and you,

after you profess another thesis “, cut him the former Minister of Health from GERB Prof. Kostadin Angelov. And he reminded of the “blooming post” of the socialist on social networks, which compares pants with masks.

You denied that there was a virus when you had to visit Shipka, to hold your fair in Buzludzha.

Did the virus change your consciousness, or did something else happen to you? Angelov asked.

Bozhankov explained that he then shared a foreign collage, in order to ironize the previous government. “There is a text to the publication – that changing the position of power 3 times in one day – wear masks, do not wear masks … has led to this type of folklore on social networks,” he told the former minister. He accused him of taking the post out of context.

However, this provoked Prof. Angelov to bring him to the rostrum printed on a sheet with enlarged letters from Bozhankov’s post, so that everyone in the hall could read the obscene words: “When the pants stop farting, then the masks will stop the virus.” Then the professor solemnly presented it to the BSP MP.

And since GERB had multiplied more “posters” with the catchphrase, one of them used them to write their proposals on the draft decision by hand and hand it over to the head of the National Assembly Nikola Minchev.

The organizational secretary of “Vazrazhdane” Nikolay Drenchev, for some reason, compared the situation to a war.

I don’t know how many of us are afraid of a deadly disease, but we are

we must be here when bombs fall

and we are at war, so the National Assembly building is open day and night, he explained.

Politicians should let health experts talk about the measures, because they understand best, Prof. Andrey Chorbanov joined here.

When I was a student, I really wanted to take part in Blake’s Seven. But I am sure that there are people in the hall who wanted to do scientific work. Therefore, when commenting on scientific results and talking about science, this should be done by people who are engaged in science, “he insisted.

In the end, the introduction of green certificates passed with the support of 154 deputies from “We continue the change”, GERB, MRF, BSP and “Democratic Bulgaria”. None of them voted “against”, and 3 from the PP and one from GERB “abstained”.

“There is such a people” did not vote at all,

and a day earlier, the group’s leader, Toshko Yordanov, had warned coalition partners that they were “leading some thoughts” in an attempt to pass the certificate. Vazrazhdane also missed the vote.

Thus, from January 24, parliamentary buildings will be entered only with a green certificate or a negative COVID test.

The samples of the administration will be paid from the budget of the National Assembly,

committee staff, parliamentary group assistants and journalists.

However, the deputies will pay for their own tests and those of their associates. The MRF announced that they will take over the employees of their PG.

The former head of “Pirogov” Prof. Asen Baltov warned that in less than 2 months a new rule will enter the EU – a certificate only in booster doses, so we will be in conflict. And the certificate for antibodies remains a “Bulgarian fabrication” by Stoycho Katsarov.

Green certificate falls in 70% of vaccinated and empty hospitals Kostadinov scares with white bus, prime minister replies: We are happy to protest

The requirement for a green certificate in our country will be dropped when 70% of Bulgarians are vaccinated and no new patients are admitted to the intensive care units of hospitals. This was announced by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in parliament.

The first goal of the government is to achieve at least 50% coverage at almost 35 percent at the moment. But as long as I am prime minister, immunization will not be mandatory, he vowed.

Emphasis will be placed on a campaign involving jeeps to explain the benefits of vaccines. The bonus of BGN 75 per vaccinated pensioner remains until June, no other incentives are envisaged.

Yesterday, 72 people died from COVID, only 2 of them with vaccines. In 14 days, the victims are 944, 71 of them vaccinated, if I do not count the fake certificates, said Petkov.

“I don’t want to be the prime minister counting dead people,” he said.

The question in Friday’s control in the National Assembly was asked by the leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadin Kostadinov and he insisted on a specific deadline for revoking the certificate.

“He does not give a choice. If you don’t, you don’t go to work. By the way, you are trying to do this in parliament as well. We will see how you will stop us when we decide to come to work “, Kostadinov vowed and threatened with big protests on January 12. However, part of the hall booed him.

Don’t worry, there will be a white bus for you, the nationalist replied, referring to the protests against Oresharski’s cabinet on the night of July 23, 2013 – then the police tried to push people away and take MPs out with a white bus. for an hour and a half he tried to break through the crowd.

“Let me tell you about the protests – I was on those in front of the white bus, on those in front of GERB. We are not afraid of protests, this is a way for people to express their opinions. And I welcome anyone who is not happy with our policy to say so. But I think it is irresponsible at the beginning of a new wave of COVID to bring all these people together. I urge you to be responsible. This time there will be no other culprits. The culprits will be us “, replied Kiril Petkov.
