Thiruvananthapuram∙ The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has informed that there is a possibility of 1.5 to 2.3 meter high waves and storm surge along the Kerala coast till 11:30 pm on Wednesday. As rough seas are likely to intensify, people should stay away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities.
Fishing vessels must be safely moored in the harbour. Safety of fishing equipment should also be ensured. Trips to the beach and activities in the sea should be completely avoided. At the same time, the Central Meteorological Department also informed that there will be no disruption to fishing in Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts.
