“High Temperatures and Delayed Rains Hit Puebla, Civil Protection Warns of Extreme Heat in Mixteca”

In recent days, the heat has intensified in Puebla and the recurring rains continue to be delayed. The weather forecast for the General Coordination of Civil Protection of the state has marked up to 41 degrees in the Mixtec.

That extreme maximum was reported on Saturday at noon in that area of ​​the state, while in the rest of the municipalities it ranged between 38 and 40 degrees.

According to previous records, the temperature in the Mixteca area oscillates at 40 degrees, similar to that reported in the Yucatan Peninsula.

State Civil Protection warned that this Sunday, May 7, temperatures could reach up to 40 degrees Celsius.

The forecast indicates that high temperatures will range from 37 to 39 degrees with highs of 40 degrees in the Mixteca. In addition to warning about the heat in the entity, the authorities warn of some light rains and strong winds in other regions.

Light rains are forecast in the municipalities that are part of the Northeast Sierra of Puebla. Strong winds will be observed in Angelópolis, Central Valleys, Sierra Norte, Sierra Nororiental and also in the Mixteca. According to what the Civil Protection authorities warn, they are expected to reach maximum speeds of 45 kilometers per hour.

The forecasts released in the alert for this Sunday, May 7, are for the next 48 hours, so Monday is also expected to be hot.
