High-speed Internet networks have been developed

The spread of Internet networks in the state is progressing, hand in hand with the Internet for All program.

The state of Texas will receive just over $8 million for the deployment of networks from Internet tall speed; the funds were provided by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act.

After announcing the funding allocation, Congressman Henry Cuéllar pointed out that the Internet it has become an essential part of our life.

“The need for high-speed, broadband Internet has never been greater,” added the Texas Democrat. “Last year, I voted in favor of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act to bridge the digital divide for those without reliable internet access. This assignment is the first step in ensuring that the entire state of Texas is online and ready for the world of tomorrow”.

Texas will receive 5 million through the Equity programbroadband access and implementation to fund various activities, including helping to close the broadband availability gap and developing a five-year action plan.

Funds will also be applied to research and data collection, including the initial identification of underserved locations and underserved locations.

The program provides funds to expand access to Internet tall speed through infrastructure planning, implementation and adoption programs.

Additionally, the state will receive just over $3.1 million from the law to fund various activities related to closing the digital connectivity gap.
