The students of the 6 classes of 1re from Lycée Marie Rivier are actively preparing for their trip to New York. If this 8-day stay with Uncle Sam is only scheduled from October 12 to 19, 2023, the 48 future participants are busy finding funds to enhance their trip. The students, with the participation of their teachers, Sophie Estrand, history, Magalie Gobeaux-Leny, economics and law, Anaïs Humbert, English, Pomeline Leny, economics and law and Denis Tachon, physics, organized a raffle. The students found 176 donors who were generous with prizes ranging from €15 to €90. Note that student Candice alone collected 22 prizes, winning the challenge for the greatest number of prizes received. The second step was to sell as many grids as possible. Friday, March 31 in the morning, the students proceeded to draw the winners and it is the students themselves who will give the prizes to the winners. This raffle therefore made it possible to win €5,770 which will allow additional visits to the Big Apple, to go to a restaurant and to make the most of their trip to a youth hostel in the middle of Manhattan.
