The San Andrés Equestrian Complex was the setting that hosted this weekend the IV Jumping Cup and the I Full Test Cup 2024, in which more than 60 men’s and women’s pairs participated.
The jumping competition provided points for the 2024 ranking of the Salvadoran Equestrian Federation (Fesades), but also served for the pairs to get ready to compete in the El Cortijo 2024 International Jumping Competition, which will take place from April 23 to 29 , in Guatemala City.
After combining the results of Saturday and Sunday in the IV Jumping Cup, the champions of this edition were known.
The rider Andrea Marroquín and her horse Erasmo, from the San Andrés Club, won the 0.70 senior category, relegating the duo Camila Serrano and Zeus to second place, while Alejandra Recinos and Polaris stayed in third place.
In the Broad 0.80 category, Karla Navas and Bienvenido, from Altamira, were crowned champions over Mauricio Jiménez and SL Canelo, and the duo of Emily Burgos and Cyriano, all from Club San Andrés.
Carla María Barton and Chandon, from Club San Andrés, dominated the pre-infant class, beating two pairs from Las Espuelas, Emilia Sosa and Macaria and Luna Chávez and Faraón, who placed second and third, respectively.
In Open 0.90, Aimee Miranda and Jacaranda, from Las Espuelas, took first place, relegating the pair made up of Rodrigo Recinos and Polaris, representatives of San Andrés, to second place. Miranda Colina and Lavanda, from Club San Andrés, were third.
In the Open 1.00 category, rider Karla Navas and her horse Naerobi, from Altamira, were crowned champions over José Dimas Nolasco and Éxtasis, from Las Espuelas.
Cavalry monopolized the cross country
In the first edition of Complete Test 2024, the pairs participated in three competitions: dressage, cross country and jumping, and were divided into the One Star, Initials and Debutants categories. All participants came from the Cavalry Regiment.
Jorge Jarquín and his horse Rayban took first place in Una Estrella, followed by the pair, Edward Vásquez and Asolino. In Debutantes, first place went to Juan Sandoval and his horse Barena, followed by the pair made up of Francisco Sandoval and Rocío. Juan Sandoval with Lalique placed third.
The pair made up of Jorge Jarquín and his mare Condesa won the Initials category, relegating Williams Villalta and Ivania to second place.
Fesades confirmed that the next date of the jumping competition is scheduled to take place on May 18 and 19 at the Andrés Equestrian Complex.
