High infection numbers bring Austria’s hospitals to the limit – corona virus

The maximum values ​​​​for the number of corona infections are once again causing staff shortages in the hospitals. Because many employees are in quarantine due to Covid disease or as contact persons, beds have to be closed and planned operations have to be postponed. The overwork on hospital staff that has persisted since the beginning of the pandemic is also leading to more and more layoffs. Politicians are called upon to finally ensure better working conditions and pandemic management, criticize those affected.
