High demand for iPhone SE in Europe

According to a new report from the research firm Counterpoint Research Apple managed to increase its sales of mobile phones in Europe by three percent during the last quarter compared to last year, despite the fact that the industry as a whole declined by 11 percent.

The launch of the third-generation iPhone SE with 5g support in March is singled out as the main explanation for Apple’s increase, but demand for other 5g models also seems to be high.

The share for iPhone is now 24 percent in Europe, which can be compared with 32 percent for number one Samsung and 19 percent for third place Xiaomi. After that, there is a substantial jump down to the fourth Oppo, which has a share of 5 percent.
