The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombing of the Strip had risen to 2,450 people.
The ministry said in a brief statement: “2,450 citizens were martyred and 9,200 others were injured with various injuries.”
On the other hand, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed on Sunday that more than 1,400 people had been killed in Israel since the surprise attack launched by Hamas a week ago on population centers near the border with the Gaza Strip.
Prime Minister Tal Heinrich’s office spokeswoman said during a press conference, “More than 1,400 people were killed and more than 120 Israelis were kidnapped.”

Israel asked Gazans living in the north of the Strip, who are about 1.1 million people out of a total population of 2.4 million, to leave their homes to the south within 24 hours.
The deadline expired on Saturday morning, and the Israeli army says that it will launch intensive attacks in these areas after evacuating the residents from them, but many of them refused to leave.
