Elder Ring recently received a pair PlayStation Partner Awards 2022including the Grand Award and Users’ Choice award.

When asked by Famitsu why he was sure Elder Ring they were successful, Hidetaka Miyazaki he replied that he didn’t pay much attention to the reason, in case it distracted him from his goal of making more games that were unique in FromSoftware’s style.

I get confused when people ask me why [proyek ini begitu sukses], but my feeling is that I’m not going to change the way I create things in the future. I try not to think too much about it, as it might become a distraction the next time I build a project. However, I am very grateful and honoured.

Personally, I try not to look directly at user feedback. This is because I can’t listen to all user opinions. I feared that if I listened, the voices and opinions I might hear would have a strong influence on my future decisions, so I was careful not to inject other opinions directly into my mind.

However, when I saw the reactions, there were a lot of people playing the same genre (Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, etc.) for the first time with Elden Ring. I get nostalgic when I hear it.

I remember feeling very excited when I first tried Demon’s Souls. It’s an interesting title to discover and we are seeing an increase in new users. I personally like to hear that kind of response.
