Deactivate information about your connection
If you don’t want your contacts to know when was the last time you connected (information that appears in the top strip under the name), you can block it. No one will know if you are connected or when was the last time you did it, but you will not have this information from your contacts either. To deactivate this option, click on the three dots on the top right, go to Settings
Bold, italic, and strikethrough
WhatsApp lets you write bold, italicize, or strike through text on the fly. To do this, you must add two special characters before and after what you want to write. For text in bold, use an asterisk (* hello *); to put in italics the text uses an underscore (_Hello_); and to create strike out text do it with the equivalence sign (~ hello ~).

“This message will self-destruct in 3, 2, 1…”. Now WhatsApp gives you there opportunity to send temporary messages that disappear after a while. To activate this function, click on the name of the contact in question and, within the menu, click “Temporary messages”. You can activate or deactivate this option as many times as you want with any contact.
