Major security breach at New York’s JFK airport? This past Tuesday, a stowaway passenger got aboard a Delta Airlines flight between the American city and Paris.

The woman managed to avoid all controls at the airport, including those where travel and identity documents are checked, and at the boarding gate. Worse, he was actually searched at a security point equipped with a scanner, reports say ABC News.

Her luggage was also searched for prohibited items before she went to the gate and boarded the plane without presenting a boarding pass or passport to Delta agents.

Identified during the flight, she was arrested after the plane landed at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport and placed in police custody.

“We are just waiting for the police to come on board… They asked us to keep everyone on the plane until they deal with the extra passenger,” the pilot explained to the passengers , once the plane was on the runway.

In a statement given to CBS Newsa spokesperson for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said they could “verify that a person without a passport passed through airport security without prohibited items.” The person passed two identity and boarding status verification stations and was able to board the flight.

A Delta representative said the airline is “fully investigating what may have happened and will work with other aviation stakeholders and law enforcement to this end.”
