Ciao Darwin Story he returned to television to the delight of all the millions of viewers who were eagerly awaiting him. This new season is a ‘revival’ of past editions, making a real one mix of the various episodes most famous and loved by Italians.
The program, which aired from 12 March on Channel 5, has always been led by the iconic Paolo Bonolis and with an irreverent shoulder, Luca Laurenti. Created by the host himself and the authors Marco Salvati e Sergio Rubino, the purpose of the transmission is to put in contrast the two sides of the same coin, that grotesque aspect that distinguishes the human being and let the public experience moments of lightness and fun.

The incident at Ciao Darwin in 2019
The incident occurred during the latest edition of Ciao Darwin in 2019. One of the challenges of the program is precisely that of Genodrome, i.e. rotating rollers to be overcome by running and in case of failure by falling into a swimming pool.
The 54-year-old competitor, Gabriele Marchetti, during the test it fell ruinously and ended up in hospital urgently. Unfortunately the man was paralyzed from the shoulders down and the family at the time made it known: “The sessions in the gym on machines for motor rehabilitation so far have not yielded appreciable results and more than two months after the accident, which occurred on April 17, Gabriele manages to die only the toes of his left foot and to rotate his right forearm”.
Also Paolo Bonolis, saddened by what happened, he clung to the competitor and his family with this press release: “While the investigation opened by the Rome prosecutor tries to ascertain the actual danger of the machinery and games used by Ciao Darwin’s competitors, Paolo Bonolis, program host, and his wife Sonia Bruganelli, owner of the production company, are constantly in contact with Simone Marchetti, Gabriele’s only son, for first-hand information on the evolution of the clinical picture “.
The decision on the Genodrome
After the accident Hi Darwin made a decision about the Genodrome, thus deleting it from the transmission. Viewers have been orphaned of perhaps the most popular game but after what happened it could not be done otherwise.
