Mustafa Al-Hamoud
Hezbollah affirmed that it has a stable and ongoing relationship of cooperation and coordination with the international emergency forces operating in the south, UNIFIL, because it complies with Resolution 1701. It considered that “there is no other way to bring positions between the Lebanese other than through dialogue», considering that «at least it is possible to bet on Dialogue to open a breach in the wall of presidential merit».
In this context, Representative Dr. Ali Fayyad regretted that the Lebanese were unable to complete the presidential elections in 2022, hoping that “the beginning of the year 2023 will see the beginning of the ability to complete the presidential elections given its importance”.
During his sponsorship of the ‘Green on the Borders 2023’ campaign launch ceremony in the southern city of Majdal Selm, he said, ‘Some have missed the opportunity for dialogue under various conditions and pretexts, and we believe that despite the difficult circumstances around to dialogue, there is no other way to bring positions among the Lebanese only through dialogue, and at least it is possible to bet on dialogue to open a breach in the wall of presidential elections, the achievement of which must be self – evident and natural, because The interests of the country require it, and because the constitutional duty presupposes it, and because there are a thousand and one reasons that push us to hasten the completion of this election”.
He stressed that «when the delimitation of maritime borders was completed, we considered this matter a great achievement, and it is, but this matter is not enough because we are on the verge of managing oil and gas investments in the sea, and this matter it requires the presence of a government full of powers, and it will not be possible to form a new government unless presidential elections are held.
For his part, the representative Hassan Ezz El-Din stressed, during a memorial ceremony in the city of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, that “the resistance has achieved liberation against the Zionist enemy and prevented it from achieving its expansionist goals, therefore destroyed the dream of “Greater Israel.” Then, in the July War, he destroyed his plan to build “Greater Israel.” Thus, this resistance has brought this enemy back behind the walls that he had built with his own hands to retreat behind them, and this indicates that this enemy is not safe for his survival and is not reassured of his existence, and knows with certainty that is inevitably fleeting.
He underlined that “this resistance, which reached the equations in dissuading the enemy, constituted the pillar of strength and power for Lebanon, and led to a historic achievement and a great victory, enabling it to extract its rights and his wealth on land and at sea from gas and oil, as soon as the resistance declares a position in which he threatens this enemy to dissuade him from his ambitions in these rights.
And a member of Hezbollah’s Central Council, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, said during a memorial service in the southern city of Kafra: “The group of the logic of defiance and confrontation has entered the country in a dark tunnel, and there is no way out of it if not by consensus, and as for those who wait for external mediations, they await the most distant solution, above all that these mediations are timid and still fail to produce a solution to the crisis of the election of a president for the republic.
He clarified that “Hezbollah does not bet on external mediation, and asks for internal consensus”, underlining that “there is a relationship of cooperation and coordination between Hezbollah and the International Emergency Forces, and this relationship is stable and continuous, because Hezbollah respects the resolution 1701”.
He stressed that “what enemy Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fears most is the confrontation with Hezbollah, and this is the reason for his withdrawal from his threats to reject the demarcation agreement.”
