On Friday evening, Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it had targeted an Israeli infantry force near the Burnett border barracks with missiles, causing several casualties, including one dead and one wounded.
Hezbollah said in a statement that the operation came in response to the targeting of journalists and the attack on civilians that occurred near the Al-Abad site on Thursday and led to the killing of the young man, Rabie Al-Bikai.
Regarding the outcome of the attack, Hezbollah said, “The outcome of the Pranit ambush was seven casualties, including one dead and one wounded among the Israelis.”
Earlier Friday, the Israeli army and Lebanese Hezbollah militants exchanged bombardment in several locations in southern Lebanon, where Israeli artillery bombed the vicinity of Kafr Shuba, the Bastra and Shanouh farms, and the southern heights of the towns of Shebaa and Habariya in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon.
Our correspondent said that the military escalation on the border between Hezbollah and the Israeli army is the most violent in days.
