Hezbollah Secretary-General Holds Lebanese TV Channel Responsible for Kahala Shooting Incident

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah held a Lebanese television channel responsible for the shooting that took place in the Kahala area between the people and the escorts of a Hezbollah weapons truck last week, describing it as “malicious.”

Nasrallah said in a speech he had on the occasion of the so-called “victory anniversary of the July war,” saying: “Had it not been for what this well-known malicious channel did, what happened at the elbow of al-Kahala would not have happened.”

And the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah continued, saying: “The one who is primarily responsible for the bloodshed, risks and potential repercussions that could have faced the country as a whole is what this media institution has done.”

And Nasrallah added, “The matter is not related to reporting news or expressing a point of view. In any case, the judiciary must deal with this issue. There is incitement to attack, incitement to murder. In any case, we will wait for the results of the judiciary.”

The accident of a truck carrying weapons for Hezbollah in the Kahala area resulted in an exchange of fire between the people of the area and the truck’s escort, which led to deaths and injuries.
