Ceasefire in Lebanon Threatened by Israeli Violations, Hezbollah on High Alert
Following the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon on November 27, tensions remain high as reports indicate numerous violations by Israeli forces.

Adding to the anxieties, reconnaissance and drone activity were heavily observed over villages in the western and central sectors before midnight.
Compounding the tension, recent reports suggest Israeli forces targeted the mausoleum of Simon Peter, a significant historical site for Christians, in the southern Lebanese village of Shama.
"Israel destroyed the mausoleum of Simon Peter, apostle of Christ, in the village of Shama in southern Lebanon" a social media user posted, accompanied by images of the destruction. "Sadness and anger.. Christians, please wake up!"
These incidents have prompted an urgent call for de-escalation from French President Emmanuel Macron. "I call for an immediate halt" to any actions violating the ceasefire agreement," Macron stated.
